The listing real estate sales person told me the roof was two years old, and after I found extensive, long-term leakage and plaster damage at many areas of second floor walls and ceilings, then told me the owner disclosed the roof's age. I asked if one should believe everything people say, especially a seller when appearances do not indicate this to be the truth. I know a good home and building inspector believes none of what they hear and half of what they see.
