This one-point-something million dollar home's attic had a musty, mildew odor when entered. The owners caused this condition. The lack of ventilation and excessive house moisture created extensive and sopping wet roof framing, roof and wall sheathing. This supported the growth of toxic mold. The listing realtor stated to the inspector "Not all people are allergic to toxic mold, so there was no reason to recommend that this should be tested to determine the type of mold it is." Clearly making a statment like this is unethical and not in the buyer's best interest. The buyers cancelled the deal.
